What this PCC HRG checker shows

Select PCCMDS activity codes and the relevant context to explore day-level paediatric critical care HRG grouping. The result explains the route through the flowchart, and the comparison view helps inspect combinations of days.

    Version and scope

The checker follows NHS England's HRG4+ 2025/26 Chapter XB logic. It is an educational explanation, not the official grouper. Transport, age and full input-record validation are outside its scope; use the official guidance and grouper for formal submissions.

    From collection to reporting

CAPANET is a separate Smartmed system for paediatric critical care data collection, reporting and regional capacity planning. The case study shows how this work fits into a shared application.
